Felixs past is mysterious and his future is to the highest pointedness inevitable given his odds for survival in an inter-stellar contend as a scout. The reader is shown the horror, courage and aftermath of flake through Felixs eyes. The two main characters in Armor often survive based on reaction, or their intense home(a) disposition. Felixs spirit creates this alter ego to protect Felix in a way his physical armor cannot. This Engine is a manifestation of his spirit and its strength. Felixs subconscious slowly replaces his intense feelings of loathe and fatalism with a part of Felix that shows no real emot ion. As Felix describes, it is his Engine, ! it deeds when he cannot.
